The Saldaean Cavalry
Formerly known as the Borderguards, this western division of the Watch is
not only carrying on the burden of defending the Borderlands, but is also
responsible of maintaining peace in the nation of Saldaea and serves Queen
Tenobia.
Many Saldaeans were trained with riding ability from a very young age. Due
to this nature, Saldaean Cavalries have been known for their riding
abilities and the lightning speed when charging the enemy. Many of these men
take the advantage of their great mobility and give the unguarded enemies a
deadly strike, then return in swift speed just as they came before enemy
reinforcements could arrive. If they are outnumbered, they would fight a
guerilla war. If they are trapped, they'd fight till their death. If other
parts of the Borderlands are under siege and they are called for
reinforcement, they would not hesitate and would arrive in hurricane speed.
There is no such thing as panic in their dictionary.
A typical Saldaean Cavalry soldier is 30 times their normal strength (lvl
30), a great horseman (lvl 5+ ride), spends the majority of his time on
horseback (no stabber), knows Saldaea, and usually the rest of the
Borderlands and the Great Forest very well, is a brave fighter (experienced
in PK), resides in the City of Maradon, and coordinates well with other
cavalries for an efficient attack on the enemy force. If you do all of the
above, consider yourself a proud Saldaean. After a period of time of
watching and evaluating, it is most likely that you will eventually end up
being one of us and will receive the following bonuses:
- Rank 2 - A dark blue cape with three silver fish
- Rank 3 - Exchange of abs for clan abs
- Rank 4 - Immunity from blight heat damage
- Rank 5 - Tell Shienaran and Maradon guards to rescue you
- Rank 6 - Damage bonus vs. shadowspawn
- Rank 7 - Large percent immunity to fear
Beforing becoming a Saldaean Cavalry, you must also follow these rules,
1-You must hunt Shadowspawn, particularly when they are in the Borderlands.
2-You must keep neutral relations with all nations and obey their laws when
travelling south.
3-Male channelers have been proven time and time again to grow in taint and
they will not be welcome in our cities. You must protect the citizens of Fal
Dara and Maradon from these men as well as Shadowspawn.
